- כְּמָסm. (preced.) subterranean prison (carcer). Yalk. Hos. 532 בתחלה קורא אילוגין … נותן לו כ׳וכ׳ first he reads the charge, then he strikes him (to extort confession), and then he assigns to him a prison ; Pesik. Shub., p. 159b> (corr. acc.).
